Exemption Statement
Currently, sexually explicit visual content presented through Fanz AI Companion experiences is generated entirely by artificial intelligence. No actual human beings, whether as actors, models, performers, or otherwise, are depicted in that AI-generated explicit content.
Because no real human performers are involved in the creation of this AI-generated explicit content, that content is exempt from the record-keeping requirements of 18 U.S.C. § 2257 and 28 C.F.R. Part 75. These regulations apply to the production of actual sexually explicit depictions of real individuals and require producers to maintain records verifying that performers are of legal age. The AI-generated explicit content in Fanz does not depict real persons, so these requirements do not apply to that content.
If Fanzintroduces real creator or performer content in the future, that content will be subject to applicable age verification, identity verification, consent documentation, and 18 U.S.C. § 2257 record-keeping requirements before it is published or made available on the platform.
AI Content Safeguards
Although the AI-generated explicit content described above is exempt from § 2257 record-keeping, Fanz maintains safeguards to ensure AI-generated content complies with applicable law:
- All AI-generated characters are depicted as adults aged 18 or older
- Automated content filtering blocks prompts attempting to generate content depicting minors
- AI image generation providers may apply their own moderation policies, and platform-level filtering is also enforced
- Full provenance metadata is logged for all AI-generated content including the requesting user, prompt, model used, and timestamp
- Any user who attempts to generate content depicting minors will have their account immediately terminated and may be reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement
Age Restriction
Access to Fanz is restricted to individuals who are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in their jurisdiction, whichever is higher). All users must confirm their age before accessing the platform.
